The Prototype (Early Access)

This is an early-stage technical prototype. Our current goal is to refine the "feel" of the game before layering in complex systems.

Important Note: As a raw prototype, the deep RPG mechanics (stats, complex quests, branching progression) are still in early development. This build is primarily a combat and movement stress test.

Controls

Movement: WASD + Shift Interact: E (Press / Hold)
Combat: LMB / RMB Inventory / Skills: I / K
Quests: Q Hide UI: Ctrl + H

* Use Alt to highlight items or Alt + Mouse for contextual actions.

Install instructions

Download and Installation Instructions

After downloading the .zip file, extract all contents to a folder of your choice.

Windows

  1. Extract the .zip.
  2. Open the extracted folder.
  3. Run Skillforged.exe.

macOS

  1. Extract the .zip.
  2. Open the extracted folder.
  3. Run the .app file.
  4. If blocked, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and allow the app to run.

Linux

  1. Extract the .zip.
  2. Open the extracted folder.

  3. Give execution permission to the main file: 

    chmod +x Skillforged.x86_64

  4. Run the file: 

    ./Skillforged.x86_64

Notes

  • Do not move files out of the folder after extraction; all files are required.
  • If the game does not start, make sure your system supports DirectX 11 / OpenGL and has updated drivers.
  • Some antivirus software may block the executable — if needed, add an exception.
